“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? " Matthew 7:3-4

We've probably all read/ heard this verse at least one time in our life. In my case I've had someone sarcastically tell me at church. The Bible is clearing in the fact that if we judge others we will be judged more harshly. At some point though im sure we've all fallen short. It becomes so easy to do especially in the holiday season.

The society we live in is no help. It's so easy to compare our self's to those around us. That we end up spending hours on the computer looking at photos, reading comments, and comparing ourselves to others.

Its important to remember that God created each of us as individuals, and their is only one of you. So instead of comparing yourself to others, just try to be the best you that God created.

If we stop comparing our self's to others it will be much easier not falling in the trap of judgment. Let God be the one to judge others. Instead of judging those around us, show them love, and understanding. Its a lot easier to judge when you don't know the persons coming from. So remember to show love this holiday season, and re-frame from the judgment of others.

God Bless,
